Playtime

Backyard guests

A couple mornings ago I was walking downstairs and looked out the window to this

 Then around the back of the house I saw the momma

We are having some backyard work done right now. Soon Cooper will be able to run around to his little heart's content. He'll "protect" us and I am sure they will never come back once he gets out there.

And this isn't the first time we have seen deer in our backyard!

Sweet Sofia

We went to watch the women's World Cup at a friends house yesterday. Sofia wanted to give him kisses on his feet. So sweet!

Sleeping Arrangements

Jackson has been sleeping in his crib for the past week. He had been in a bassinet in our room up until then. We just went cold turkey and put him in there. He has done great!! It takes him a little longer to fall asleep but he is still sleeping 5-6 hours at a time usually with a couple 7 or 8 hour stretches. The first couple of night I was glued to the video monitor but have gotten better.

Here are a few pictures of his nursery. It's still not done - I am still trying to find some things for the walls and need to order some curtains for the windows. I have already taken the bumpers off so you can't see his adorable owl theme on it :(

Date Night!

Jackson had his first babysitter this weekend. Grandma and Grandpa were here this weekend and watched Jackson on Friday night so Jimmy and I could go out. That was our first time out just the two of us in about 9 weeks. (We got to have a couple of date nights while Jackson was still in the hospital). It was so odd to be out without Jackson.

He was a little fussy and didn't want to take a bottle from them :( Hopefully they will agree to watch him again if he cooperates better!

Thanks Griffin for my adorable onesie! I love it. I wore it last week but before mommy could take a picture I pooped on it so I had to wait for it to be washed again. Can't wait to meet you sometime soon. Love, Jackson

And while we were at the lake this weekend Jackson was Grandpa's Sidekick and even "helped" him make pancakes for breakfast. 

Sophie!

Jackson loves his toy Sophie the Giraffe. Cooper thinks its his though since it is pretty much a glorified dog toy!
