Butterfly Garden

One of Jackson's birthday presents was this butterfly garden. It came with 5 live baby caterpillars and we got to watch them grow and go through the life cycle of a butterfly!

A couple of days after getting the caterpillars

They have grown so much in 3 more days!

2 more days and they made their way up to the lid and hung upside down

Just hours later they were already turning into chrysalis

After 2 more days they all turned into chrysalis. Then we took the lid off carefully and placed it in the butterfly netting and waited.

7 more days and they started transforming into butterflies

After they transformed we watched the butterflies for a couple days then released them in the yard! We sure loved this birthday present!

Chattahoochee Nature Center

A fun morning at the Chattahoochee Nature Center for the annual butterfly exhibit.

Nature Center Fun

A spur the moment trip to the nature center after running an errand in East Cobb. We ran by Chick-fil-A and picked up lunch and went to the nature center to eat and walk around.
