Weekly Happenings

Last weekend my friend Lindsey and her boys came to visit. We had fun hanging out over the weekend and the kids played outside a lot! We decided to invite some other friends over Saturday night and had a big get together.

Camden and Luke

Jackson and Camden playing on the floor

He was strapped in while I am taking my shower. Next thing I know he sits himself all the way up!

Jackson and I went to get bagels on Sunday morning
Camden is doing great sitting on his own...
for a couple minutes at least!
Jackson found these Sperry loafers in his closet and wanted to wear them.

Sitting and playing in Jackson's room

 Giggles!

Jackson also went to the dentist for the first time! He did awesome! He watched me get my teeth cleaned first and helped hold "mister thirsty" i.e. the spit sucker. Then it was his turn and she was able to clean his teeth, brush and floss them. No cavities and his teeth looked great! So proud of my big boy!
We ended our week with Jackson sick again! :( Another fever, congested and coughing a lot. I'm so tired of these constant viruses! I'm hoping he feels better soon.

Camden has started getting up on all fours and rocking. He'll be crawling soon!!

Catch Air Fun

We have been to Catch Air several times this spring. We didn't go much during the winter because I was trying to avoid those kinds of places where there are way too many germs. I know its good for kids to be exposed to stuff but if we went we would have been home sick every week! Now we'll go some since flu season is over!

Jackson loves to play on the big kid side and I agree that it is way more fun than the toddler side! I even crawl around up there with him then we head over to the big slides and slide down. Over and over and over again! It is exhausting for sure! I probably won't be able to do that much more with this big old pregnant belly!

Sometimes he stops himself while he's sliding down. Otherwise we'd fly down it! It's fast!

Farmhouse in the City

I met a girl from my moms group to go to a fun place called Farmhouse in the City. It's an old house in Roswell that 2 moms have turned into a playhouse with rooms filled with toys for both boys and girls including lots of dress up clothes. There are 2 painting rooms - canvas painting and pottery painting. You can hold or pet the bunnies and check out the baby chickens inside and the older chickens outside. And there is bracelet making and face painting! So much fun stuff to do! We started off playing in the boys room with the tools.

Then we moved on to the drum.

Checking out the chickens outside. I didn't get a pic of the baby ones inside but he kept waving and saying "hi" to them. Ha!
Then we did some pottery painting.

So serious
And not so serious here! Saying "cheese"!

I didn't get a picture but he loved the bracelet making. He spent about 15 min sitting in the chair putting beads onto a pipe cleaner. I might need to buy some beads so he can do this at home too. Not many activities keep his attention for long periods of time!

Such a fun place! We'll definitely go back soon!

Easter 2013

We had a fun and busy Easter weekend! Rain was predicted for Sunday morning so we decided to do our egg hunt on Saturday evening. Gretchen, Joe and the boys came over and we played/egg hunted in the backyard. Jackson stopped and ate half of his animal crackers out of the eggs before he would even put them in his basket. They had lots of fun playing in the yard and finding eggs. We had tacos for dinner and the boys played some more!

The next morning we had everyone over for brunch and I made a french toast casserole. So yummy and so easy! We filled up on plenty of yummy food and then the girls headed to tennis and the guys took care of the boys. It was the longest tennis day ever with an initial rain delay but then the courts were dried and then it rained 2 more times throughout the matches and they had to stop and dry the courts again. Our team took all 5 though! Woo hoo! After tennis we were off to Jimmy's moms for a delicious Easter dinner.
