Baking Cookies

We got a head start on celebrating Valentine's Day. Jackson asked me to draw hearts and he was going to color them in. Can you tell which ones he colored vs me? I think he did a great job!!

This was Camden's paper. I colored the pink heart.

Then we started baking cookies

While they were baking it was pouring outside and our drains in the yard couldn't keep up so we had a mini lake back there!

Gingerbread Houses

We had our annual gingerbread house decorating day. We put the houses together the night before and then that morning they were ready for decorating! I did a lot of the icing parts and the kids put the candies on. Jackson did a little of his icing but it was tough! Camden discovered he could eat the candy and from then on it was me constantly telling him "no more candy!"

Right before Thanksgiving I decided I was ready to start decorating for Christmas. Jackson and I went to the store one day and bought a mini tree for him. He picked out all the ornaments and chose Mickey Mouse, an owl, a football, a soccer ball, snowmen, letter "J" and letter "C", Elmo and red beads to string on it. He and I had a great time and was good for he and I to have some alone time without Camden for a little bit.

We made gingerbread cookies

 We decorated a gingerbread house. Obviously I helped but we had lots of fun decorating it!

We put up all our holiday decorations and decorated our tree right before Thanksgiving too. I love seeing all the Christmas decorations out. No pictures but it looks pretty much the same as every other year.
