February 2016

He loves riding the escalator

We found a frog by the garage door

Jackson and his buddy Mason at a birthday party at Catch Air

We left one party and went to another at Sky Zone! These boys had a big day!
Jackson was off running around with Ryan and I didn't get any pictures of him :(
Camden loves jumping!
At the Caffeine and Octane car show. He's sitting in Rich's porsche here!

We went to Morgan Falls park afterwards to play!

Admiring the views

I signed up to help with the Valentine's party at Jackson's school.
They made these super cute hats! Decorated their bags and handed out their Valentine's. We even had a "stick the lips on Mrs Valentine" game! Such a fun morning with my big boy!

I was down in the basement one day and the boys got quiet. I went to see and they found the ipad mini (it's our remote for the basement) and were watching old Mickey classics all snuggled up together.
My friends and I had a fun crafting day and made a bunch of shirts for the kids. Camden loves choo choo trains so I made this one for him!
Slow cooker quinoa enchilada bowl. Topped with fresh avocado, cheese, sour cream and a few chips. Delish!!
Baking my favorite cookies to take to Cabin Weekend
I love the mountain. Absolutely stunning!
We danced the night away and had a blast! Our first cabin weekend in over 4 years! So good to be back.
I only stayed Friday night and got home Sat around 1pm. Me and my big boy!

 Playing outside
 Camden taking selfies
One day I glanced at the monitor because Jackson isn't usually quiet during quiet time and I saw this.
This is what I saw when I went up. Totally sound asleep on his floor! I don't think this has ever happened before. My kids don't just fall asleep places. They have never fallen asleep on the sofa while watching tv or a movie or anything!

Longboat Key

Now that Nana and Papa have a FL place we knew we needed to take a week long winter vacation there! I took the boys in February and Jimmy met us halfway through the week. It was my first time flying solo with both and it went great! I checked our suitcases and carseats curbside and just had a purse and a carry on with activities for the boys!

After getting to our gate we decided we needed Pinkberry!

On the plane ready to color!

Watching Pinochio
View from one of the balconies

Sunset the first night

The next morning we went swimming but it was chilly! The water was only about 78 or 80 degrees and the air temp was in the low 70s! Brrrr!
We decided to go to the Mote Marine Museum since it is so close by. We saw lots of jellyfish

Wouldn't want to meet that guy in the water!

Looking at the sea turtles

Woke up from his nap and wanted to snuggle Nana

After dinner he insisted he was still hungry so he ate one of Nana's banana muffins she made. He loved them!
Sunrise
Off to the beach we went

The water was cold but these two still had fun digging and playing in the sand

Can't seem to get everyone looking and smiling at the same time

Jumping waves with Papa

Mom and I went for a walk one afternoon. Pushed Camden in the stroller and as soon as we got back I looked down and saw this! Was able to push him inside and in the bedroom so he could snooze for another 30 min or so before waking up.
Camden slept in the same room as me in a pack n play. In the morning when he woke up I would pull him up into bed with me to snuggle :)

The next day we went to the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. They had a fun kids section and so many beautiful gardens to see. I want to go back one day when I'm not rushed with 2 little ones!

Running across the swinging bridge

Gorgeous banyan trees

One of the exhibits they had were all these gowns made entirely out of plants and flowers. So gorgeous!

Another afternoon at the beach :)

There is literally no one around!
Ready to go pick up daddy at the airport and go to dinner!
After dinner we stopped for ice cream

I constantly find pictures like this on my phone. Oh Camden!

We went to the South Florida Museum to see Snooty the manatee. I saw him when we used to come to Bradenton to visit Bea and Papa! Snooty is 67 years old! Unbelievable! He's been in the care of the museum since he was just 11 months old. He won't forage for food as others will. He's so spoiled he wants it handed directly to him!

Right now he has 2 other young manatees living with him while they get stronger and fatter and ready to return to the wild.

After watching Snooty eat we walked over to the pier for lunch

Later that afternoon Jackson worked on his invite list for his birthday party
And also his wish list

How quickly the sunset changes!

Another day, another beautiful sunset!

Camden loved his giraffe pillow in his pack n play!

Asleep on the way to the airport

Bye bye Longboat Key! Thanks Nana and Papa for such a great week! Can't wait to come back :)
