Cinco de Jackson!

Since Jackson was turning 5 and it was so close to Cinco de Mayo, we decided to have a fiesta for Jackson's birthday.

Jackson said he wanted cookie cake for his birthday so I set out baking cookie cakes and had an idea to make it into a sombrero for our fiesta! I used a waffle bowl in the center and icing as decorations.

After 5 birthday parties held at our house over the years we had always gotten lucky with perfect weather. I knew one day we wouldn't be so lucky. That was this year! It poured all morning. So we moved the tables and chair onto the screened porch.

And had lots and lots of people inside our house! Coloring pages and crayons saved the day!

We had rented a big bouncy house for the party too. Finally it stopped raining but everything was still soaked outside. The kids went out to jump and slide and it was like a giant slip n slide! They all got soaked! But had a great time.

I signed up to help with the Valentine's party at Jackson's school.

They made these super cute hats! Decorated their bags and handed out their Valentine's. We even had a "stick the lips on Mrs Valentine" game! Such a fun morning with my big boy!

I was down in the basement one day and the boys got quiet. I went to see and they found the ipad mini (it's our remote for the basement) and were watching old Mickey classics all snuggled up together.

My friends and I had a fun crafting day and made a bunch of shirts for the kids. Camden loves choo choo trains so I made this one for him! 

 Slow cooker quinoa enchilada bowl. Topped with fresh avocado, cheese, sour cream and a few chips. Delish!!

 I love the mountain. Absolutely stunning!

 We danced the night away and had a blast! Our first cabin weekend in over 4 years! So good to be back.

 I only stayed Friday night and got home Sat around 1pm. Me and my big boy!

 One day I glanced at the monitor because Jackson isn't usually quiet during quiet time and I saw this.

 This is what I saw when I went up. Totally sound asleep on his floor! I don't think this has ever happened before. My kids don't just fall asleep places. They have never fallen asleep on the sofa while watching tv or a movie or anything!
