Jackson started rolling over in late September - but it was just a few times. In early October he started rolling over more often and now he rolls all over the place!
We are working on sitting. He can sit unassisted for a few seconds but then starts to fall over. I put the boppy behind him to cushion his falls.
He loves to stand. He will hold onto your fingers and pretty much pull himself all the way up to standing.
He is nursing 5-6 times a day still and we are about to begin solids. We will start with rice cereal and then move onto veggies and fruits. I am going to make his babyfood and I am so excited about it!
He is sleeping 11 to 12 hours a night. Occasionally he will wake up in the middle of the night. Sometimes it happens several nights in a row. We try putting him back to bed but most times in takes me nursing him for him to calm down and be able to fall back asleep. He takes 3 naps a day if we are home. If we are out he will usually take a short nap in his carseat.
He is wearing 3-6 month clothing and a few 6-9 month. We have just moved up to the Pampers Swaddlers size 3 diapers.
His 6 month doctor appointment went great. He had 3 vaccines and the 1st dose of his flu shot. He cried for a minute then was smiling again before we knew it. He weighs 15lb 12 oz (16th percentile) and is 26.75in long (54th percentile). His head circumference is 16.25 in (4th percentile).
Jackson is such a happy baby! He loves to give a big gummy grin to everyone. This is such a wonderful change. In the beginning he just didn't know what he wanted or how to communicate it so he was fussy a lot. Now he is only really fussy if he gets overtired or if its past time to eat! He loves to play with all his toys and we have started putting out some of the 6 mo and up toys for him.
We are so lucky to have such a wonderful baby boy. He is such a sweetie pie and every day is better the the previous one. We love you Jackson!
