I found this cute printable for a sort of advent calendar where everyday in December you add a cotton ball to Santa's beard. Once he has a full beard he comes that night, Christmas Eve. Everyday when we would ask him about Santa he pointed to the basement door where I had it hanging and we would glue it on. One funny thing is Jackson doesn't like getting things on his fingers so after getting glue on his fingers some days he just wanted to hold the cotton ball and for us to actually stick it on.
We made gingerbread cookies and left some out for Santa and our neighbors gave us some reindeer food which we sprinkled outside.
On Christmas morning Jimmy and I went in to get Jackson up and asked him if Santa came. His eyes lit up and he said yes! I asked if he heard him or the reindeer on the roof and he nods his head yes. We came downstairs and got his cup of milk and then as soon as he saw his train table he ran over to it! He was so excited!
We spent the next few hours opening presents and playing with toys...and wrapping bows!
Jackson got a Little People farm, bbq grill, puzzles, Mr. Potato Head, Little Wheelies race track, play microwave, wood blocks and some books. He loved all of it but got overwhelmed with so much new fun stuff. Jimmy got some car stuff and a GPS heart-rate watch for working out and I got some beautiful jewelry, a coat, cds, and new makeup brushes.
Jimmy's whole family wound up being sick so we decided to go ahead and go to the lake so we raced around packing clothes and presents in the car. Jackson took a nap on our way and he couldn't have been more excited when we got to Nana and Papa's house!
At the lake we enjoyed quality time with the family. We went to the Ritz to check out the gingerbread house they make each year. They make the whole thing with sheets of homemade gingerbread, icing and candy. It is such a neat tradition they do!
He loved loved loved the train going around the top of it!
