Camden has been sleeping pretty well but was having a tough time going to bed. It was usually around 10 or 11 before he would fall asleep. The only good thing was that he was sleeping anywhere from 6-9 hour stretches most nights which was wonderful. He is still sleeping in the rock and play in our room. I just wasn't ready yet to move him to his room. I think it is something to do with him most likely being my last baby and I want to cherish every moment. He is usually napping in the swing downstairs. His morning nap is usually about an hour after he wakes up and he can nap anywhere from 30 min to 1.5 hours. The other naps are more inconsistent but he usually will take at least 2 more naps throughout the day.
Camden is nursing every 3 hours during the day. He occasionally wakes in the middle of the night. I feel like the reflux medicine either really helped him or whatever else was causing his fussiness started to subside.
Right when he turned 3 months he started having a horrible cough and almost a wheezing sound. I had a fear of RSV and it being a Friday we went to the doctor just to be safe. After a nose swab and 20 minutes of waiting it was confirmed he had RSV. They prescribed an inhaler of albuterol. It wasn't easy administering it to him and seeing him struggle while we tried to get him to breathe in the medicine. I'm just so glad we didn't have to go to the hospital. many times infants have to be admitted when they have RSV because in contracts the airways and can be dangerous. We were lucky we caught it right away. A few days later he started improving but then got worse again. So back to the doctor we went and they prescribed a steroid and we also had to continue breathing treatments.
We went lots of places this month. We celebrated Thanksgiving and Hannukah and was then getting ready for the Christmas holidays. Camden is a great assistant while I am shopping! We went to see Santa and also to a pancake breakfast with Santa for the local high school.
Camden is doing lots of tummy time to strengthen his neck and back doesn't like to be on his tummy for long. He is lifting his head up more during tummy time. He is a smiley boy and loves to show me his adorable gummy smile. His hair is blonde but definitely has some red in it too. In certain light it looks more red. He has beautiful blue eyes and gorgeous lashes. He has a dimple on his right cheek.
Since we were at the doctor we know his weight at 3 months, 13 lb 3 oz. He is chunking up really good! He is wearing 3 month clothing in most everything. Camden is wearing Pampers swaddlers size 2 diapers.
