Pregnancy Update

 Jackson likes to kiss my belly

Jackson wanted to make sure Cooper got in the picture too

I have made it to 33 weeks! Yay! Honestly when I was in the hospital at 28 weeks I didn't think I would make it this far but very thankful I have. Now if this baby can just hold on for another few weeks at least!

I have been feeling good lately. I get tired so easily which is funny since I spend so much time doing nothing and laying around at home. I do feel some pressure. This baby sits so low! I am not having (or at least not feeling) any contractions which is good! I have been going every other week to both OB and Perinatal. They stop measuring cervical length by 34 weeks and mine looked good the last time we were there (around 2cm) so as long as I don't have anything major going on in the next couple of weeks I will just see my OB every week from here on out.

These last few weeks I have been crazy about peaches. I tend to eat 2 every day! I haven't had tons of cravings this pregnancy but then I didn't last time either. I have been into baking yummy treats with blueberries and have made several lemon sweets as well. Normally I don't drink much milk but have been enjoying a glass of milk here and there in the evenings either when I have some cookies or by itself.

Sleeping has been ok. I flip from side to side all night and tend to wake up around 2 or 3 every night and am wide awake for a couple of hours. Last pregnancy I loved my Boppy body pillow yet this time I have only used it one time.

I need to start packing my hospital bag and get Jackson's big brother present ready. When I was pregnant with Jackson I hadn't packed my hospital bag so when we wound up in the hospital at 33 weeks I was not prepared! I also need to start washing all the baby things - blankets, burp cloths, car seat, bouncy seats, etc! I love that sweet smell of Dreft and can't wait to have a nursery of baby things ready for when this baby is born.

We are getting closer on names and have a girl name and a boy name we like but haven't decided for sure. At our last ultrasound Jimmy said he thinks it is a girl from the profile and face. My mom agreed but I can't tell. I am still thinking its a boy. My only hope is that it is a happy, healthy baby!

Jackson is always talking about the baby. When we ask him if he thinks it's a boy or a girl he says "no!" He loves to lift my shirt and say "hi baby" to my belly. But sometimes if my shirt rides up and he sees my bare belly he pulls it down and says "no baby!"

Dreaming of Fall

I have been dreaming of fall for almost a month now! I think because my summer was cut short with being on bedrest and not being able to be outside playing as much, swimming, going to the splash parks, playgrounds, etc so I am just ready for fall to be here! I've had my pumpkin spice candles burning at home and had mom bake a pumpkin spice latte bundt cake and my favorite pumpkin chocolate chip bread that I normally make every year. This week I have a recipe for pumpkin poppers I think we will make. Yummy!

I also keep ordering fall clothes online. Well, really just shirts. I'm scared to buy pants when I am not sure if/when I will be back in my pre-pregnancy size. Normally I want to wear summer stuff as long as possible but I think since all my summer stuff is maternity I am ready for a change. Plus since I am always sitting around I tend to just live in tank tops and yoga pants these days so I guess I am ready to dress like a normal person.

I am also excited to get out all my fall decorations! I've been on pinterest some looking at fall decor ideas but I'm thinking I should hold off on planning to many crafting projects since I'll probably be pretty busy soon with a newborn and of course my always busy toddler!

Oh and oddly enough we have had record low temps the past few days. The high a couple days ago was 67! We usually have hot and humid days in the 80s and 90s still this time of year! Well come on fall...I'm ready for you!

Caffeine and Octane

Every month there is a car event called Caffeine and Octane. Jackson has been many times since he was just a couple months old! Of course his daddy loves cars and is always telling Jackson about the cool cars he sees. He knows that daddy drives a Jeep and says "Daddy Jeep" when he is going to ride in it or even when he sees another Jeep like it in a parking lot. Jimmy is also working with Jackson to say Porsche. He almost says it!

So, the boys headed out early Sunday morning to go to Caffeine and Octane. Jackson rode around in his green car and pushed it some of the time.

They stopped to talk to some owners of some Lamborghinis. Jackson loved this remote control car someone had and Jackson was all smiles when people wanted to take his picture standing in front of the car. Then they said "Is that your green car? It's cool!" He said "yes!" and he wanted it to be in the picture in front of the green Lamborghini.

 Such a ham!!

Jackson's Week at the Lake

Nana took Jackson to the lake last week for a change of scenery for him and more rest for me. The morning before they left he kept saying "Papa pool?" I think he was ready to go swimming! He napped in the car and then when they got there I think they put on swimsuits right away and went swimming. The neighbors daughter and grandchildren were there too and Jackson had a blast swimming and playing with them. Papa brought out fudge pops for everyone - yummy! What's not to love about a fudge pop?!

 After swimming for a couple hours they had dinner and Jackson went to bed. He was exhausted! The next morning he was a happy boy snuggling with Papa on the sofa watching Curious George.
 The weather wasn't great this week but still plenty of time for fun in the pool. Jackson found a centipede and was squirting it with his water gun!
 Nana made play-doh! That's always fun to play with!
 Here are some clips of him swimming. Sometimes he does more of a superman float instead of kicking though. The pushing off and swimming to someone is his newest thing!

He had lots of fun and we FaceTimed most every day. We sure were excited to see him on Friday when he came home though! I love that he is at an age where he can go spend some time with his Nana and Papa without mommy and daddy. So much fun for him! Thanks Nana and Papa!

Interview with Jackson

I love the sound of Jackson's voice and he says the cutest things. He is talking more and more and putting sentences together most of the time. For example... "I want George watch"... Sometimes he gets the order mixed up though :) He is really good about saying his please and thank you's even without always being prompted. He even said to Nana the other day "I sorry Nana" after he realized he had really frustrated her with his attitude.

Jackson came up with some unique names for certain things and I want to remember how he says it for now because before I know it he'll use the correct word and I won't remember the funny things!

Toothbrush = bicar
Lollipop = beepbye
Water = gar
Yoyo = weewhy
Banana = Manna
Noodle = doodle (he loves them and will ask for doodles for breakfast! ha!)
Annabelle = dabelle
Cooper = dooper

Plus I had to include some of his other favorite words: my turn (we talk about sharing and taking turns and he thinks if he just says "my turn" then he its his turn), one more, watch (he wants us to watch everything and will always say "mommy watch" "daddy watch" "cooper watch" to make sure everyone watches what he is doing.

ABC's

This was taken a few weeks ago but I forgot to post. Jackson saying his ABC's. I am so proud of my boy!
