9 Months

It is so hard to believe that 9 months have already passed since Jackson was born. It has truly been such a magical 9 months. And with every month that passes he makes us laugh more, love more and truly be in awe of how amazing he is!

Jackson has really started talking this month. He says lots of ma ma mas and da da das as well as many other sounds. Recently he's discovered he's got a loud voice! Our dinners out might be put on hold for a little while!

He eats 3 meals a day of solids. Usually oatmeal or yogurt and banana in the morning. Fruits and veggies at lunch and dinner. We've started doing a little table food and things he can pick up. He loved bbq pork but hasn't been a big fan of chicken. He loves to eat cheerios and yogurt melts. I have also started cutting up fruits for him to pick up. We tried cheese but he wasn't wild about it. After waiting a couple weeks I will try again and see what he thinks now. He is still nursing 5 times a day.

He is very mobile these days! Crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything! He's had a few bumps and bruises but I guess that's all part of learning. We did have our first busted lip :( His two bottom teeth have cut through and are so sharp. He fell the wrong way the other day and hit his upper lip. Poor baby :( Luckily I grabbed a frozen teething toy to make it feel better fast. We have done the major babyproofing - safety gates, locked up cleaning products, tightened up wires and cords with zipties, and put away obvious breakables he might get into. I want him to learn things that are off-limits without completely packing up our house. He loves to race over to Cooper's bowl. He can get there in about 3 seconds flat! He also knows he shouldn't be getting into it. I always say "No, no, no. Don't touch" and before he gets to it he turns and looks at me.

Look at those teeth coming in!

He loves to sit in the shopping cart these days. He spends most of the time laughing, flirting with the other shoppers and just laughing. He is such a happy guy and definitely likes attention from other people! He eats it up. We haven't experienced too much separation anxiety yet. In the evening when he is really sleepy he will just want to be held by his mommy. Melts my heart!

Jackson weighs 18 lbs 1 oz (21%) is 27.5 inches long (16%) and his head circumference is now 17 inches (7%). His head is really rounding out! At my weekly moms group I weigh him every week and that scale showed him under 18lbs last Friday. He is wearing 6-9 month clothes and a couple 9-12 month things.

We have had some awesome weather lately. Lots of fun wagon rides outside.

Out to dinner!

At Amalfi for Grandma's birthday! He helped her blow out the candles.
 Mmm... bbq pork!

 Somebody found the wipes!
