In the City of Angels

We went to Los Angeles in April for Adam and Melissa's wedding. This was our second big trip with Jackson. We got up at 6 am took a 9:40am flight that landed around 12:30 and didn't get to check in to the hotel until close to 3. The rental car took for-ever. Jackson was a trooper and was so good on the flight. He played and went from Jimmy to me and back again. Eventually he decided to take a nap and slept for about an hour. Once we got to the hotel and had lunch we went outside to play with Eran and Margot and Griffin for a little bit. We decided to go try a Thai place that Adam and Melissa recommended for dinner that evening. By the time we got back to the hotel and put Jackson to bed it was 9pm California time and midnight Atlanta time. Jimmy and I were so tired that we were not far behind him in going to bed!

Jackson slept until 6:45 the next morning which made us very happy. When we went to California in December he woke up every morning around 3 or 4 because of the time change. I guess keeping him up so late worked in our favor.

After breakfast we headed out. It was not a typical California  "perfect 70s and sunny" day and was more like 55 and rainy. We drove around through Beverly Hills and decided to check out Beverly Center, one of the only indoor shopping malls in LA. We had lunch and enjoyed the afternoon shopping. We went to Petersen Automotive Museum and saw some cool cars and exhibits.

That night we put Jackson to bed and then Jimmy and I went out to dinner with Byron. We went to Jar and had a fantastic meal and really enjoyed catching up with him. It was also so nice having a date night out!

Margot and Eran planned a fun 1st birthday party for Griffin at a nearby park on Saturday morning. They decorated with lots of balloons hanging from the trees, served coffee and yummy birthday cake. It was such a fun time for the family to get together and to celebrate Griffin turning 1!
