Sports Fanatic

Jackson has always loved playing outside and recently took up some sports... He started off being obsessed with golf and wanted to play all the time. Several weeks later he got a t-ball set for his birthday and played all the time! From the start he seemed to hold the bat well and would watch the ball while swinging. He would hit the stand sometimes but then surprised us when he could hit the ball without hitting the stand. Next up was basketball, he loved playing basketball! Then he started kicking the ball and then wanted to play soccer all the time!

After a few weeks (and after getting a football from Papa) he wanted to play beep-ball (that's what he called football) all the time. Jackson has gone to our tennis matches since he was a baby. A few months ago he started wanting to play with our racquet. We got him his own and he was instantly obsessed. He would ask to play ball with his "tee weewie" first thing in the morning, throughout the day and it was the last thing he asked to do before going to bed. He could amazingly hit the ball when we bounced it to him and could also drop it and hit it.

The past couple of days he is back into t-ball again. He also started hitting the ball out of his hand and even hit it out of the air when Jimmy or I threw it to him.

So, I think sports are his thing and it makes me happy because I grew up playing outside all the time. Jackson has never been all that interested in playing with toys. At least not like he is interested in playing sports or playing outside.We are soaking up this awesome fall weather playing outside as much as possible!
