Camden started napping better this month but still would fight it sometimes. I even had a few days when they both napped at the same time! That was a treat! Camden is often times still waking up at night. Usually around 3 am or so. Sometimes he'll sleep all the way until 5 or 6 though. He rolls all around his crib and is never in the same spot as when I put him down. He mostly sleeps on his tummy with his feet tucked up and his hands underneath him. He likes to cuddle with his glow worm and his monkey. He stands up in his crib and turns his mobile on. He usually goes to bed around 7:30. I try to put him down for 2 naps a day. The first around 9 or 9:30 and then again around 1:30 when Jackson naps. If we have plans one day then we usually miss the first one or he might nap in the car on the way.
He is nursing 4 or 5 times a day. He will usually take a bottle fine but doesn't have one all that often. Usually just when we go out at night and have a babysitter. He is eating much more solid food and eating it much better. He loves most every fruit and has been devouring strawberries and peaches lately. One night he ate almost a peach and a half while we were at dinner. And they were big peaches! He eats a lot of the same foods as last month. He ate my salsa verde chicken with rice one night. He still enjoys broccoli and will eat asparagus and green beans. He eats yogurt a lot as well. He's not big on cheese though. He cut his first tooth right before he turned 9 months. He sure had some fussy days while that tooth was about to pop through. Jackson was a fairly easy teether. Camden on the other hand I feel might be a little harder.
He loves to clap his hands when you say "yay". He is obsessed with opening and closing doors and drawers. He goes to the drawer in the kitchen where we keep all the kid plates, bowls and bibs and is always opening it. He pulls up on everything and will cruise around a table but will not take one step while holding your hands. He automatically just plops down.
He had his first overnight with Nana and Papa this month while we celebrated our 6th anniversary. He did fine but was happy to see us and especially me (his main food source) when we got home. We went to the lake for Memorial Day and he swam in the pool and had his first boat ride. We had some playdates at the park and catch air. We celebrated the best daddy on Father's Day! He met his extended cousins when we had our first annual cousins weekend at the lake.
Camden loves to smile and is super ticklish on his tummy, under his arms and on his legs and feet. He sticks his tongue out a lot and recently started always sticking his bottom lip out. I think it has to do with feeling his swollen gums where he is about to get more teeth up top. He is not such a drooler like Jackson was. And also rarely spits up anymore. He used to spit up all throughout the day but now its maybe a couple times a week.
Camden is wearing 9 or 12 month clothing and is in size 3 diapers. He weighs 18 lb 6 oz (25%) and is 28.5 inches long (53%). His head is 18 inches (70%).
Enjoying his dinner! Watermelon, noodles, broccoli, zucchini and squash
So happy and smiley!
Playing with Jackson
Eating baked beans and BBQ
Mmmmm...pears, cheerios and veggie straws
He fell asleep like this! I moved him off the bumper (after I took my picture!)
At the farmers market
He's so happy he thinks he's going to make it to Cooper's bowls to play in. Not so fast!
He was upset I took his empty yogurt tube away
I love seeing sweet sleeping babies!
Camden is such a smiley and happy little guy!
